Through Resource Management Coordination (RMC), the Province is implementing an integrated approach to integrated service delivery.
The First Nations Initiatives Division’s (FNID) mission under RMC is to lead the natural resource agencies through two primary business lines:
- Creating a “virtual integration of aboriginal relations” across resource agencies through the development and implementation of consistent plans, policies, procedures and tools; and
- Developing strategic agreements with First Nations that will improve the Province’s investment climate, reduce the consultation burden on all parties, create enduring forums for government-to government engagement and achieve the goals of the Transformative Change Accord.
