Corporate Watershed Base
The Corporate Watershed Base (CWB) formerly known as TRIM Watershed Atlas (TWA) is the creation of a corporate watershed atlas that defines watershed boundaries by height of land and provides a stream and lake network for water management and fisheries information.
The CWB Project adds functionality to TRIM 1:20,000 digital topographic base map data for the entire Province of British Columbia. Read more >>
Canada-wide Differential GPS
CDGPS is a free, nation-wide DGPS service developed for the Canadian market that provides that provided nation-wide coverage for positioning applications at an accuracy of approximately 1–3 metres. CDGPS provides free real-time DGSP data for GPS applications across British Columbia.

Digital Road Atlas
The Digital Road Atlas (DRA) is a data management system for all roads in British Columbia. Ultimately it will capture and supply a single road network for the province to support a full range of requirements. Read more >>
Digital Image Service (DIS)
The Digital Image Service (DIS) – formerly the Digital Image Management Program (DIM) – was initiated by the Crown Registry and Geographic Base Branch of the Integrated Land Management Bureau. The purpose of this program is to establish and maintain a semi-automated, computer-based system to support the acquisition, discovery, management, and distribution of geographic digital imagery for the Province of British Columbia. This corporate service is particularly important to Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Ministry of Forests, Ministry of Environment, and many external clients. Read more >>
iTRIM
The iTRIM project will provide the tools necessary to ensure that the TRIM program can continue to provide comprehensive and current base map products to government, industry and the general public. By ensuring TRIM base map products remain current and comprehensive, iTRIM will support:
- Faster and more accurate turnaround times for Crown land dispositions
- Faster and better land and resource management decisions
- Faster and more accurate identification of economic development opportunities
- Products and services for our public, private and corporate clients that best meet their information and analysis needs.
The iTRIM project is expected to be completed in spring of 2008.
Terrain Resource Information Management Program (TRIM) Program
The Terrain Resource Information Management Program (TRIM) program produces digital maps, which is a collection of coverages to conform with the BC Geographic System layout.
TRIM mapping consists of 7,027 map sheets covering the province of British Columbia at a scale of 1:20 000. The cartographic framework for this mapping is the Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system, based on NAD83 (1983 North American Datum). Each map sheet is precisely 12 minutes of longitude wide by 6 minutes of latitude high. Read more >>
Northeast BC Data Update & Maintenance Pilot Project
The Pilot Project objectives are to examine the feasibility, cost and value of capturing, representing and maintaining energy and forestry sector development activities and associated infrastructure in the TRIM Base Mapping and Vegetation Resources Inventory (VRI); and to address backlog disturbances from the energy sector through evaluation and implementation of automated methods.
