The image to the right demonstrates how the 1:250,000 scale relates to the 1:20,000 scale in the BC Geographic System (BCGS) of mapping.
Once you know the 1:250,000 map sheet number to cover your area of interest, move your mouse over the map sheet number on the map of B.C. below and click to view the 1:20,000 BCGS index for that area. The individual indexes have been rendered as GIFs at 3000 x 3000 pixels (some indexes will take a while to load, depending on your internet connection).
