Information Management Standards and Guidelines

As part of a commitment to comprehensive and continuing client service, GeoBC Information Services Branch has developed and maintains a series of standards and guidelines. These are intended to promote corporate Data Management philosophy and practices and to provide both clients and vendors with a relevant and current operational framework. Standards and guidelines cover the areas of Data Custodianship and governance in the natural resource sector; logical and physical data modelling for GeoBC operational and geographic warehouse databases; GeoBC data model repositories; and GeoBC data security.
