FSP/FRPA Data Access for Industry Project
Data Access for Industry
Project Objectives
The Forest Stewardship Planning (FSP) Data Access for Industry Project improves forest licensee access to datasets required in the implementation of the Forest and Range Practices Act and some data collected under the Forest Investment Account (FIA) Land Based Investment Program.
Datasets for which access is improved have been established through comments from a wide range of stakeholders and confirmation by the Forest Investment Council (FIC). These datasets are required to support licensee activities related to Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) development and Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA) implementation.
Project Governance
The project lead is an ILMB Project Manager, supported by staff from the ILMB Project Management Office and led by ILMB team members.
Governance is provided by a Working Group, comprised of management-level subproject leads from each participating custodial ministry and chaired by the Project Manager, and a Steering Committee comprised of Director or Executive Director level representatives of participating ministries and agencies. The Project Manager, as Chair of the project Working Group, sits on and reports to the Steering Committee.
